Mike Hess Brewing of San Diego has partnered with The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation to release Rising Hope IPA with Tangerine and Passionfruit to help raise awareness about the lack of funding for childhood cancer research. Rising Hope IPA will be released in all five of their California locations Friday, September 27th and all net proceeds will directly contribute to the cause. The brewery has committed to donating a minimum of $7,500.
The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation and the program Brewing Funds the Cure had a goal to partner with a brewery in every state, and Mike Hess Brewing was chosen to participate. In collaboration with local brewery, Pariah Brewing Company, Mike Hess Brewing brewed 20 barrels of this fruity IPA with the hopes of raising awareness for the need for pediatric cancer research funding. This is only the latest effort from the brewery. Earlier this year they hosted a head-shaving event to benefit St. Baldrick’s foundation. Through their multiple fundraising efforts, MHBhas raised close to $100,00 for childhood cancer research this year alone.
Rising Hope IPA will be available in all five Mike Hess Brewing Locations (North Park, Imperial Beach, Ocean Beach, Miramar, and Walnut Creek) while supplies last and donation boxes will be set up for anyone who would like to donate directly. Patrons can also enjoy growler fills to enjoy at home.
Mike Hess Brewing North Park is located at 3812 Grim Ave, San Diego, CA 92104.
