Ratio Beerworks is excited to announce the return of Genius Wizard Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 7-10pm.
This hefty 11.5% Imperial Stout is brewed with a copious amount of base malt, specialty grains with the addition of molasses. Genius Wizard was the first beer brewed on Ratio’s 20 barrel system when the brewery launched in 2015, and that first batch immediately went into bourbon barrels to age for 12 months. This December will mark the fifth time this viscous, roasty, chocolate-y, barrel-forward beast returns after brooding in barrels.
The 2019 Genius Wizard debut will once again be celebrated with a special kind of release experience on Friday, December 13 from 7-10pm. Ratio Beerworks has teamed up with Spectra Art Space to transform their brewhouse into a mystical, magical immersive art installation for the release party.
Attendees of The Genius Wizard Experience will have the first chance to enjoy this year’s rendition of Genius Wizard Bourbon Barrel-Aged Stout along with 4 variant expressions consisting of BA Vanilla Coconut Genius Wizard, BA Maple Pecan Genius Wizard, Espresso Coffee Genius Wizard, and BA Mayan Chocolate Genius Wizard (variants subject to change).
Additionally, Ratio has teamed up with an all-star cast of Denver’s finest to incorporate a culinary showcase to pair with the beer. This year’s lineup already includes Tavernetta, Yuan Wonton, Super Mega Bien, Work & Class, Smok, and Voodoo Doughnut, with more to be announced.
Ticket holders will also receive a bottle of 2019 Bourbon Barrel-Aged Genius Wizard to take home, a commemorative Genius Wizard glass, as well as the opportunity to pre-order three variant bottles to complete a four-pack to take home while supplies last.
