BOCA RATON (Fla.) —

Ales for Anglers is a one-day “green” event that brings together craft beer, home brew, fishing and music enthusiasts celebrating the best of Florida living. All proceeds support the Snook and Gamefish Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity organization comprised of anglers dedicated to protecting Florida fisheries.

What: Ales For Anglers

When: March 29, 2014 2:30pm -9:00pm

Where: Sunset Cove Amphitheater, Boca Raton, Fla., at 12551 Glades, Road, Boca Raton, FL 33498 which borders the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee Refuge.

Out of respect for Florida’s environment that people and fish depend on, organizers have put in place green initiatives:  canned water and canned drinks instead of plastic, carpooling shuttles from hotels offering group rates along Glades Road (Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel, Hilton Suites Boca Raton, and Boca Raton Holiday Inn Express), and using environmentally friendly products and vendors.

This is an all-Florida event.

  • All craft beer served at this event will be produced in Florida. There will be a wide variety to choose from, including Cigar City, which has won many national awards and is rated as one of the top breweries in the country.
  • Unlimited home brew sampling from some of the most outstanding local home brew purveyors during the first hour of the event, while supplies last.  Attendees can vote for their favorite home brew.
  • Beer enthusiasts will have a variety of choices — each with an educational, detailed description to help make a selection for any palate.
  • The headline act for this all-Florida band lineup is the exciting JJ Grey and Mofro, of Jacksonville, Fla.
  • “Shake your hips and Wet Your Lips” is the motto at this Inaugural Ales for Anglers charity event.
