This year for American Craft Beer Week, Sockeye Brewing in Boise, Idaho will be hosting a day filled with fun and games with teams from many of the area breweries. Every year, we are all CrAzY busy promoting our industry around town with special events, pint nights and food pairings. This year Sockeye sent out an invitation to bring everyone together for a great Grand Finale to finish out ACBW in BIG celebration, Boise style! The day will be filled with live music, vittles from Riceworks and Brown Shuga Soul Food, sporting, gaming, fun, and of course sharing fine craft beers together! This HUGE event outside at Sockeye’s newest location, 12542 W Fairview in Boise, will run from 11am-7pm on Saturday, May 17th for ALL our fans, friends and families to attend. It will consist of a series of events in which teams from these local craft breweries have accepted the invitation to gather and celebrate with our friends and fans:
- Sockeye Brewing
- Payette Brewing
- Woodland Empire
- 10 Barrel Boise
- Crooked Fence Brewing
- Edge Brewing
- Ram Brewing
- Highlands Hollow Brewhouse
- Bogus Brewing
- Slanted Rock
- Sawtooth Brewery
Events and number of players participating from each team will be:
- Keg Toss
- Flip Cup
- Quaffing
- Corn Hole
- Basketball Sharpshooter
- Tug of War
- Final Obstacle Course Relay
Each team will gain points from each challenge to win respect and admiration from their compadres in Boise beer land. Sockeye will throw in a trophy and each brewery will have a fine fresh brew on tap. We welcome everyone to join us and our friends as we support eachother and our industry in a friendly competition. Each team will donate $100 to raise money for our state guild, Idaho Brewers United. All proceeds will be donated to the guild, so come prepared to have a blast!
