Nashville craft brewery, Tennessee Brew Works, is releasing the first in a series of session beers that they are calling the “Tennessee Brew Sessions”. The official unveiling of their American Pale Session Ale is occurring at their TapRoom Thursday, July 24th 2014, from 4-8PM.
From the Tennessee Brew Works Newsletter:
“So, you might ask, what’s a session beer? According to the Brewer’s Association: Any style of beer can be made lower in strength than described in the classic style guidelines. The goal should be to reach a balance between the style’s character and the lower alcohol content. Drinkability is a character in the overall balance of these beers. Beers in this category must not exceed 4.1% alcohol by weight (5.1% alcohol by volume).
In other words, we’re brewing tasty, easy drinking craft beers in classic styles…but with lower alcohol contents! So, you can relax and enjoy our “Finely Tuned Craft Beers” a little bit longer! Stay tuned for more session beer releases!”
