Fort Collins, Colo. — The Fort Collins Brewery (FCB) is excited to announce its inaugural Malt Monster 5K race presented by Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine on Saturday, October 11th at 10 a.m.
Beginning and ending at FCB, the Malt Monster 5K participants are encouraged to dress in costume and can run or walk the course. For a $29 registration fee, participants will receive a FCB sports pack and pint glass, chipped timed bibs, beer samples and appetizers, along with a costume contest and prizes. A portion of the proceeds will go to FoCo cafe, a nonprofit restaurant built on a pay-as-you-can model for the Fort Collins community.
Participants can look forward to their custom sports pack filled with sponsor gifts from Altitude Running, Honey Stinger, Kate’s Real Food, Noosa Yoghurt, Polar Bottle, Public Service Credit Union and The Alison Group.
At the end of the race, participants will receive a sample of the newest member of the Malt Monster Series, Barnaby Barley Wine, along with appetizers from Gravity 1020 Modern Tavern.
Barnaby, Barley Wine greets you with raw malty aromas reminiscent of caramel, brown sugar, ripe stone fruits and floral hops. The first sip brings all the rich complexity of the aroma to life, finishing silky smooth and incredibly satisfying.
An awards party and activities including a photo booth from Big Daddy Photo Booth and chair massages from Poudre Waters Massage will be at FCB to conclude the Malt Monster 5K.
