SAVANNAH, GA (October 22, 2014) – Ramblin’ Man Productions is hosting a live mural competition and art show Saturday, November 22nd, from 2pm until 6pm at Southbound Brewing Company. The competition and materials are being sponsored by Blick Art Materials – Savannah. The winner of the mural competition will be awarded a commission to paint a full mural inside the brewery. The art show portion of the event will have 10 spaces available for artists to sell work or to promote their services. The mural competition and art show will run from 2pm until 6pm, with live music.
Katie Smith with Southbound says, “Craft beer is, in itself, a true art form, and so coupling our craft with that of talented local artists is recipe for an amazing event. In addition to the mural competition and art show, Ramblin’ Man will have fantastic bands playing and we will be offering samples of our brews to keep the inspiration flowing. We’re all thrilled to have the opportunity to connect the brewery with the creative community surrounding us, and we are honored that Blick Art Materials has agreed to serve as our Official Sponsor for the competition and art materials necessary.”
Robyn Reeder from Blick adds, “Blick Art Materials is pleased to sponsor Southbound Brewery’s mural competition. Since Blick opened over two years ago, we have not only been selling art supplies from our two downtown locations on MLK and Broughton street, but we have also been consistently sponsoring local art shows, events and partnering with local schools and different non-profit art organizations to help give a boost the art scene in Savannah. We hope to see a lot of our regular customers participate in the Southbound Brewery mural contest as well as some new students to Savannah. To participate in the art show, there is a $40 fee per table. Interested artists for the art show or to compete in the mural competition are asked to email katie@southboundbrewingco.com for more information.
