Headline event of Colorado Craft Beer Week returns for second year
Today the Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG) and Imbibe Events announced the return of Collaboration Fest. Collaboration Fest will take place during Colorado Craft Beer Week on March 21 from 3 – 7 p.m. at Sports Authority Field at Mile High (1701 Bryant St. Denver CO 80204).
“Colorado currently has more than 200 operating craft breweries and these breweries were responsible for $826 million in revenue in 2013,” said Steve Kurowski, director of marketing of the CBG. “Collaboration Fest showcases how these breweries work together to strengthen the industry and why Colorado is the state of craft beer.”
VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau, is working with Imbibe Events and the Colorado Brewers Guild to promote the event to a regional and national audience in 2015.
“Beer is in Denver’s DNA, and we want to help promote an event that will draw brewers, beer enthusiasts and visitors from around the nation to the Mile High City every year to taste one-of-a-kind, short term creations that will be here, and then gone,” said Richard Scharf, president & CEO of VISIT DENVER.
Collaboration Fest will showcase the release of more than 50 Colorado collaboration beers. Each beer featured at Collaboration Fest is created by at least one CBG member, with other participating breweries from near and far, including breweries from other countries. Some collaborations will also feature more than five breweries.
“This year’s festival included brews from all-female brewers to pairings from Ska and Nynashamns Angbryggeri, ” said Casey Berry, founder of Imbibe Events. “The brewers are already starting to out do themselves for next year’s festival. During GABF, TRVE Brewing Company brewed a German-style wit with The Bruery. This beer was fermented with two kinds of wild yeast and is currently being aged with Lactobacillus in Chardonnay barrels. ”

Collaboration Fest is part of the Lovibond Series. The Lovibond Series is a group of beer focused events and includes Collaboration Fest, Sesh Fest and the Fresh Hop Festival.
