The OneDer Beers Festival Ready to Wow Attendees with 30+ One-of-a-Kind Pours
NAPERVILLE, IL – At a conventional craft beer event, attendees might get one or two chances to sample a beer that’s never been poured before. Nevin’s Brewing Company and Ale to the Burbs have organized a festival created especially for those beer lovers that are always searching for the newest brew. The OneDer Beers, to be held January 10, 2015, from 2:00-5:00pm at Nevin’s (12337 South Route 59 in Plainfield), will host nearly 30 breweries, each offering samples that have never been tasted by the general public.
Asked to explore their experimental side, participating breweries have brewed completely new recipes or taken one of their standard beers and given it a twist with a different dry hop, infused ingredient or something completely unexpected. Some breweries, including Ale Syndicate, Samuel Adams and Traveler Beer Company are using The OneDer Beers as a launch party for new beers hitting the market in the coming weeks. “I’m absolutely thrilled with the lineup of breweries we’ve been able to assemble and the beers they’ve prepared for this festival,” said Marc Wilson, brewmaster at Nevin’s. “Those lucky enough to get a ticket are going to be treated to a truly unique event.” Wilson has been working on showcasing a handful of his own beers at the festival, including a cask-conditioned stout on bananas, bourbon barrel-aged Russian imperial stout, chipotle mango wheat, Japanese farmhouse and extra special bitter.
Participating breweries and their OneDer Beers include: 350 Brewing – “Dream Sicle” Golden Wheat with Orange and Vanilla; 51st Ward – “Krispy Malina” Russian Imperial Stout on Raspberries and Cinnamon Bark; Ale Syndicate – “Wolf Point” Belgian Golden Strong Ale; Angry Orchard – “Hop n’ Mad” Hoppy Cider; Banging Gavel – “Red Handed” Irish Red Ale with Vanilla and Oak; Breakroom Brewery – “Experi Mental” IPA; Bucket List Brewing – “London One Eye” English Pale Ale on Maltesers Malt Balls; BuckleDown Brewing – “Galaxy Clencher” Double IPA; Church Street Brewing – “Lublinskie” Radler; Flesk Brewing – “Oh-Need-Er Man” Coffee Stout; Hailstorm Brewing – “Kriek Lambic” Two-Year Unblended Lambic with Tart Cherries; Imperial Oak Brewing – “Macadaminator” Madadamia Nut Dopplebock; Lagunitas Brewing – “ScareCity 2” Rye Cocoa Porter; One Trick Pony – “Broadside Goodman” Trappist Winter Warmer; Pollyanna Brewing – “Personal Chain Letter” Imperial Stout with Almonds and Toasted Coconut; Samuel Adams – “Rebel Rouser” Double IPA and “Rebel Rider” Session IPA; Traveler Beer – “Curious Traveler” American Craft Wheat Ale with Fresh Lemon and Lime; and Two Brothers Brewing – “Northwind” Imperial Stout on Toasted Marshmallows. About Nevin’s Brewing Company Nevin’s Brewing Company opened its doors in December of 2012. Between the time we opened and the time we brewed our first beer, we were expectant parents setting up the nursery, ensuring that everything was perfect for our baby, our beer. On February 21, 2013, our brew kettle fired up for the first time with our inaugural beer, Contentious, an IPA fermented with Belgian yeast. Since that christening moment, our brewmaster has worked diligently to provide a wide range of brews for all to enjoy. At Nevin’s, we brew because we are infatuated with what happens when malted barley meets water, when hops dance in the boiling wort, and when wort marries yeast. No style is off our radar. We turn our noses up at nothing because we see opportunity in everything. http://www.nevinsbrewing.com
