Arizona Beer Week 2015 Promises More Participants, More Brews, More Time and Enhanced VIP Opportunities
PHOENIX, Ariz. – On tap for Arizona Beer Week 2015: hundreds of breweries, enhanced VIP opportunities, abundant events and a nine-day extravaganza of all things sudsy.
Never before has the buzz been this great, and this year’s extended celebration (in years past, the festivities were capped at seven days) promises to do even more for the rapid expansion of Arizona’s craft beer culture, thanks to a slew of new breweries and the astronomical growth of the craft brewing industry seen in every corner of the state.
Expect to see full bar stools at restaurants and brewpubs from Feb. 12 – 21, as hundreds of eateries and brewmasters host beer-pairing dinners, tap takeovers, pub crawls, special giveaways, meet-the-brewer nights and numerous other events that symbolize and celebrate the explosive growth of Arizona’s craft brewing industry. In addition to the premiere event, 15th Annual Arizona Strong Beer Festival set for Feb. 14 at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix to unique and innovative celebrations like Four Peaks’ Girl Scout Cookie and Beer Pairing Dinner set for Feb. 13, this year’s brew-centric soiree promises endless opportunities for Arizonans to explore one of the region’s most rapidly growing sectors.
This year’s Beer Week festivities promise something for everyone, from the budding (and beer-drinking) astronomer to women with a vested interest in Arizona’s burgeoning brewing industry.
For the second year, two of Arizona’s largest breweries, Four Peaks and SanTan Brewery come together Thurs. Feb 12 at Tempe’s Culinary Dropout to bring you the Four Peaks and SanTan Rare Beer Dinner. Are you afraid of the dark? You won’t be after you experience the tapping of Sun Up Brewery’s “Don’t be Afraid of the Dark” Bourbon Barell Double Black Rye PA on Fri., Feb 13.
Want to hit multiple breweries and craft beer spots in one day? Look no further than the Sunday Funday Pub Crawl on Sun., Feb. 15. Join Sun Up, North Mountain, Angel’s Trumpet and Phoenix Ale Brewery for a day on the London Bus Company with friends and local brews.
Beer and Chocolate, two of the most delicious things on earth. On Mon. Feb 16 head up north and visit Lumberyard Brewery for a day of beer flights and a flight of house-made chocolate pairings. Mmmm, Pie! On Tues. Feb 17 O.H.S.O Brewery is partnering with 10 Arizona Breweries and serving 11 delicious pies for one of the most delectable food pairing events during Arizona Beer Week, Pie Social an AZ Beer Collaboration.
Stick around through the 18th and join Tap & Bottle for their Women in Craft Beer panel, tastings, meet and greet and more as they pay tribute to work of Arizona’s women in the brewing industry.
In the past, the words warm and beer don’t coexist. However, on Thurs., Feb 19 Fate Brewing will be serving a unique beer flight “Cold Food and Warm Beer” complete with cask conditioned and nitro-poured brews paired with cold bite and dessert. Think you’re all that at a game of pool? Join Sticks and Steins 3 Ball Tourney at Uptown Billiards on Wed Feb 18 for a night of brews and balls with some of your favorite brewers from local breweries.
Expect to sample special collabrews as well as favorite breweries as they come together to share their wares and showcase their collective strengths.
Also new this year are enhanced VIP opportunities. A limited number of VIP wristbands will be released, giving wearers special VIP access during Arizona Beer Week. Crescent Crown Distributing Company will distribute a limited number of bands to VIP Arizona Strong Beer Festival™ ticket holders and other lucky craft beer lovers through social media, and other avenues. More Details on how to become a VIP will be released next week. Like Crescent Crown and Arizona Beer Week on Facebook for details.
