CELEBRATE ST. PATRICK’S DAY

WITH A PINT OF O’SULLIVAN STOUT,

OR ORE’SULLIVAN BLACK & TAN,

AVAILABLE ONLY AT IRON HILL BREWERY & RESTAURANT

WILMINGTON, DE – From Friday, March 13 until Tuesday, March 17, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (11 locations across DE, NJ and PA) will feature their Irish-style O’Sullivan Stout on draught, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.  In addition, the bar will pour a signature Black & Tan, playfully called Ore’Sullivan Black & Tan, with O’Sullivan Stout and their newest house beer, Ore House IPA.

“This beer is especially meaningful to me because of my family’s roots in Ireland; in fact, I was inspired to brew it as a memento of a long-ago trip to visit my uncle there,” says Director of Brewing Operations Mark Edelson.  “For an authentic taste of the age-old Irish brewing tradition, our guests need look no further than their local Iron Hill, where we’ll be pouring O’Sullivan Stout both on its own and in Ore’Sullivan Black & Tan to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.”

O’Sullivan Stout is a classic Irish-style dry stout, black in color with a roasty malt flavor and a pronounced dry finish.  Iron Hill serves it on nitro, for a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.  Inspired by Edelson’s visit to his family homestead in Ireland, along with Iron Hill co-founder Kevin Finn, four years before they opened their first brewery, the beer is a nod to the long, proud Irish brewing tradition and a delicious tribute to Edelson’s uncle, who gamely showed the American boys around town despite his utter surprise when they showed up – unannounced! – on his doorstep.  For the Ore’Sullivan Black & Tan, it will be poured with Iron Hill’s house IPA, Ore House IPA, a golden ale with balanced hop bitterness and bright citrus and pine aromas and flavors.

Founded by home brewers Kevin Finn and Mark Edelson and restaurateur Kevin Davies in Newark, DE in 1996, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has blossomed from one restaurant and brewery to 11 locations across the mid-Atlantic.  Each restaurant is dedicated to producing and serving top-quality hand-crafted beers and cuisine in a warm and hospitable setting, and all are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.  In 2014, Zagat honored Iron Hill by naming them the most popular restaurant in Philadelphia.
