New Belgium’s Sixth Annual Clips Beer & Film Tour Raised More than $150,000 in 2015 for Local Non-Profits

It’s a wrap! The 2015 Clips Beer & Film Tour  was a great success raising $152,592 in 2015 for non-profits across the country. New Belgium’s beer-toting, film-traveling, nonprofit-benefitting show traveled to 20 cities this year and had 20,050 attendees (city-by-city breakdown is below).

Since its inception in 2010, Clips has raised $659,000 for nonprofit organizations. This year, Kansas City raised the most money of any city for the second year in a row, bringing in $17,500.

Each Clips Beer and Film Tour stop featured New Belgium’s esoteric Lips of Faith beers, and brewery classics, along with short films created by New Belgium friends and fans. All of the proceeds from beer sales went to local nonprofits in each city. Attendees also enjoyed a diverse offering of traveling games, contests, food, and fun.

Promoters of environmental stewardship, New Belgium encouraged attendees to think twice about recycling, with a significant amount of waste diverted from landfills. In addition, all city stops had bike valet, encouraging people to ride their bike to the showings.

“Once again it was another awesome year of support for each of our non-profit friends with funds raised since inception reaching the half-a-million mark ,” said Christie Catania, Clips National Special Events Manager. “Night after night being able to see a park full of people just having a great time, enjoying incredible films, drinking great beer and supporting their local nonprofits is so awesome to experience. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.”

New Belgium selects approximately 20 short films for the tour each year. All selected filmmakers for the 2015 tour received a trophy-worthy beer in a custom screen-printed bottle, made exclusively for the winning submissions.

This year, chosen films included a panda with an attitude about craft beer, a mano-a-mano mountain bike brawl, a whimsical human-powered surf rig and much, much more! With such a diverse and high-octane lineup, something was guaranteed to suit everyone’s tastes.
