For Immediate Release: City Star Brewing Hosts Hops and Harley Festival to Raise Awareness about Puppy Mills in honor of Hero Dog Harley Celebrating dogs and craft beer, Hops and Harley festival expects to draw guests to Berthoud, Colorado from as far as Scotland.

City Star Brewing will host the 4th Annual Hops and Harley Festival on June 25th at Fickel Park in downtown Berthoud, Colorado 11am-6pm.  The free community event features live music, craft beer, food trucks, dog agility course, vendors, puppy mill awareness and, new this year, the Brewery Dogs Beer Tasting tent featuring 15 local breweries pouring their dog related beers. 100% of the proceeds from Hops and Harley benefit National Mill Dog Rescue. In 2015 Hops and Harley attracted well over 1,800 people from across the US and raised $14,000 for National Mill Dog Rescue.

Hops and Harley was created in honor of Harley, a little dog with a big dream who has inspired so many people to do great things and fight for the freedom and humane conditions of canines everywhere. Harley passed away earlier this year but his legacy lives on. You can read about Harley’s story at harleypuppymilldog.com. His campaign, “Harley to the Rescue” has raised more than $150,000 for National Mill Dog Rescue to date.

Hops and Harley beneficiary National Mill Dog Rescue has saved more than 10,000 dogs from puppy mills in the last 9 years. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home discarded puppy mill breeding dogs and to educate the general public about the cruel realities of the commercial dog breeding industry.  Located near Colorado Springs, they have a network of foster homes all across the Colorado Front Range, and they adopt dogs nationwide.  More information can be found at their website: http://milldogrescue.org/

### City Star Brewing offers award-winning, small batch ales, hand crafted on a 3.5 barrel brew system in the heart of downtown Berthoud, Colorado.
