DENVER, Sept. 16, 2016 – Great Divide Brewing Company and Jameson Caskmates present a special post-Great American Beer Festival fundraiser concert, Levitt Pavilion Denver Live! at Summit Music Hall on Friday, October 7th at 8PM. The event features the 2016 The Voice finalist and nationally acclaimed artist, Laith Al-Saadi with Colorado’s rising star Brent Cowles and Austin mainstay Garrett Lebeau.
“There is so much to say about this concert and our partnerships with both Jameson and Levitt Denver,” said Shannon Berner, marketing manager at Great Divide. “To be able to host an event with Jameson Caskmates during GABF and showcase our collaboration is amazing. What better way to fundraise for Levitt than with incredible live music, whiskey, and beer?”
Levitt Pavilion Denver Live! is a fundraising event for Levitt Pavilion Denver, a local non-profit focused on elevating the local music scene and increasing accessibility to free live music through construction of the new Levitt Pavilion in Ruby Hill Park. The concert also doubles as a launch party for the Great Divide and Jameson Caskmates collaboration beer.
In 2015 Great Divide was honored to be one of the five American craft breweries selected to partner with Jameson for their Caskmates Drinking Buddies program. After their first collaboration beer, they sent their barrels back to Ireland for Jameson to fill with whiskey. This year, Jameson invited Great Divide once again to join them in Ireland for more collaboration. Together they created a one-of-a-kind beer aged in Jameson Whiskey Barrels. The end result is a unique craft beer with hints of Jameson Whiskey called The Smoothness.
The Smoothness is a dark larger with whiskey notes, chocolate, oak, and leather aroma. Upon first sip, drinkers will experience a velvety, silky feeling with roasted malt, vanilla, and oak flavors. The Smoothness comes in at 8.5 percent ABV. The Smoothness will only be available for a limited time, with the first tasting during Levitt Pavilion Denver Live!
“We are extremely excited to bring our community together and celebrate raising awareness of Levitt Pavilion,” said Chris Zacher, executive director of Levitt Pavilion Denver. “Great Divide and Jameson have been incredible in their support and we are proud to present this top-notch show to the city of Denver.”
Tickets to this special concert are $25 with 100 percent of ticket sales benefitting Levitt Pavilion Denver. Each ticket includes Jameson Caskmates Irish Whiskey, Great Divide Brewing Company beer and small bites, as well as an exclusive opportunity to try ‘The Smoothness’ collaboration beer. Attendees will also be the first to try Great Divide’s Caskmates Whiskey; the product of whiskey that has been aged in the original Jameson barrels used to create the ‘The Smoothness’ in 2015.
“Jameson has a long history of dedication to their community, and their craft. It’s incredible to be able to turn a launch event for our collaboration beer and whiskey into a fundraiser for Levitt. Add incredible music to that, put it on the Friday night of GABF week, and this event really has everything,” said Berner.
