Hi-Wire Brewing has announced details of its seasonal releases for winter, including returning favorites Twice As Nice Doppelbock and Strongman Coffee Milk Stout.
Twice As Nice Doppelbock (10% ABV), inspired by a traditional German doppelbock, is a robust dark lager. Despite its full flavor and high alcohol, this beer was lagered for more than 8 weeks to make it light on the palate and incredibly smooth. Expect Vienna and Munich malt to contribute subtle flavors of fig, plum and chocolate to this big, yet easy-drinking beer.
Strongman Coffee Milk Stout (5.3% ABV), inspired by our head brewer’s cafe con leche-fueled travels in Key West, has become one of the most anticipated seasonals from Hi-Wire Brewing. Local coffee from Dynamite Roasting Co. is cold extracted and added post fermentation to this sweet, creamy beer. To celebrate the release, Hi-Wire Brewing will be hosting its third annual Strongman Brunch, Saturday, October 8th at 9am at their Big Top location | 2 Huntsman Place. For only $12 customers can enjoy a hearty breakfast from Foothills Local Meats and one pint of the Strongman Coffee Milk Stout. The menu is as follows:
Brunch Menu:
- Two pasture-raised eggs (cooked to order),
- Sourdough toast with beef butter,
- Choice of Foothills breakfast sausage patties or bacon
- South Carolina Adulah stone-ground grits! Al La Carte options
Al La Carte:
- Sweet Potato Strongman Coffee Milk Stout Bundt Cake with Georgia Pecan and Bacon Streusel Swirl and fresh, salted caramel whipped-cream
- Foothills Scotch Egg half a beautiful egg, rolled in country breakfast sausage, deep fried in beef tallow with a classic devil.
Customers will start to see Strongman Coffee Milk Stout in their market beginning Monday, October 10, and the Twice As Nice Doppelbock starting October 24th. Both beers will be available on draught and in 6-packs in Hi-Wire’s entire distribution footprint, which includes North Carolina, South Carolina, and parts of Tennessee and Georgia.
