BALTIMORE, MD — Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the last release in its 2016 Partner Ships series of collaboration beers – an Imperial Brown IPA with Stone Brewing Company. This series features beers produced in collaboration with other regionally and nationally recognized brewers in the spirit of friendship, creativity, and adventure. For 2016, Heavy Seas partnered with Maine Beer, Troegs Independent Brewing, Terrapin Beer, and Stone Brewing Company. The Partner Ships series is brewed at Heavy Seas in Baltimore and celebrates the pioneering spirit of American craft beer today.
The Stone collaboration beer, releasing in November 2016, will be a 9% ABV Imperial Brown IPA. Brewed with Blackstrap Molasses in the kettle, chewy malt character supports layers of American hop mayhem (we are playing with Stone after all) – a burly, palate obliterating Imperial Brown IPA!
The product specs are:
Style: Imperial Brown IPA
ABV: 9%
IBU: 90
Hops: Centennial, Palisade, Citra, Chinook, Simcoe
Malts: 2-Row, UK Amber Malt, Brown Malt, Crystal Malt
