Braxton Brewing Company will be releasing an extremely limited, special edition Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout at its Winter Block Party on Saturday, December 3rd. This variant of Dark Charge aged for over a year in 23-year old Bourbon Barrels that then aged 100% pure Maple Syrup for another year.

Dark Charge 23 Bourbon Maple Imperial Stout will be released in 22 oz. bottles at Braxton’s Winter Block Party. The bottles will be hand numbered and packaged in a limited edition box. The brewery expects them to sell out at the annual event.
“This has been a project that we have been working on for well over a year-and-a-half,” said Evan Rouse, Co-Founder and Head Brewer at Braxton Brewing Company. “These barrels are truly something special and the end product showcases just that — a bold imperial stout with strong hints of maple, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts and coffee. It has aged for a year developing all of the flavors and aromas you’d expect from a barrel of this stature.”
Dark Charge 23 Bourbon Maple has been a project the brewery has dreamt of since opening in March of 2015. After sourcing the barrels, the brewing team went to work creating a beer worthy of the extremely rare barrels. The Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout features notes of maple, chocolate, roasted malts and smooth vanilla.
This premium bottle will be released in addition to the previously announced Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Charge bottles at the Winter Block Party. The complete lineup is listed here:

Let’s lift one to life!”
Specialty Barrel-Aged guest taps will be featured throughout the day from Against The Grain Brewery, Alltech’s Lexington Brewing Company, Avery Brewing Company, Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits, Blank Slate Brewing Company, Central State Brewing, Country Boy Brewing, Ei8ht Ball Brewing, Ethereal Brewing, Founders Brewing Co., MadTree Brewing, New Belgium Brewing, Oskar Blues Brewery, Quaff Bros, Rhinegeist, Rivertown Brewery and Barrel House, Upland Brewing Company and West Sixth Brewing.
