COVINGTON, KY – Braxton Brewing Company is expanding distribution to Columbus, Ohio. The brewery, based in Greater Cincinnati, will distribute core styles, seasonals, limited releases and Braxton Labs beers beginning on Tuesday, February 6th.
“We couldn’t be more excited to finally head north to Columbus,” said Jake Rouse, Co-Founder and CEO of Braxton Brewing. “Over the past six months we’ve been working with Superior Beverage, as well as bar and retail partners, to open the Buckeye city in a big way. Launch week is going to be a blast!”
The brewing company will initially send its two flagships, Storm Golden Cream Ale and Revamp IPA along with its current seasonal, Spotlight White IPA, in cans and on draft to central Ohio. In addition, the brewery will also send Limited Specialty Releases and Braxton Labs packaged and draft products as they become available.
Braxton Labs, the company’s innovation facility located in Newport, has brewed a Buckeye Stout exclusively for Columbus. This Peanut Butter Chocolate Stout will be available only while supplies last in the Buckeye city.

“Columbus is one of the cities that I learned to love Craft Beer in. If I wasn’t homebrewing on the weekends, I was visiting friends to find the latest and greatest beers — often times, that meant trips to Columbus,” said Evan Rouse, Co-Founder and CPO of Braxton Brewing, “Now, I’m excited to be sending our diverse lineup of core styles, seasonals and Braxton Labs innovations to Central Ohio!”
Braxton Brewing Company has partnered with Superior Beverage to take their can and draft distribution to Central and Southeast Ohio. Annette Cardenas, a Columbus resident (and yes, a huge Buckeyes fan), will represent the brewery in the new market.
Braxton Brewing Company was born out of a garage on Braxton Drive in Union, Kentucky. It’s there where Evan, at age 16, learned to homebrew. From there, a passion was born and a spark ignited. After years of refining his craft and creativity, he was joined by his brother (Jake), father (Greg) and mentor (Richard Dubé) in launching Braxton Brewing Company. After a record-setting Kickstarter campaign and being named as one of the Top 33 new breweries in 2015 by BeerAdvocate, the Covington-based brewery has continued to expand outside of Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati. Beginning with only 100 Barrels of fermentation capacity in 2015, the brewery is now home to 1,140 Barrels of capacity and produced more than 15,000 barrels in 2017.
Now, the team is thrilled to #LiftOneToLife in the Columbus!
