MILWAUKEE – From December 2nd through December 9th, Lakefront Brewery sold its favorite, Riverwest Stein Amber Lager, on special and donated 100% of the sales to California’s Camp Fire relief efforts. During that week, each pint was only $3.00 and all proceeds were donated.
“There was a national effort made by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, headquartered in Chico, California,to have other craft breweries brew a beer in solidarity,” said Lakefront Brewery Brand Manager, Michael Stodola. “More than 1,400 breweries across the United States signed on to brew batches of their Resilience Butte County Proud IPA. The proceeds would be donated.”
Lakefront Brewery’s production schedule was far too tight to accommodate another beer and so the decision was made to donate through an anniversary celebration and its flagship beer, Riverwest Stein Amber Lager.
“We made a bit over $1,000 and all of that is being donated,” Stodola said.
“We’ve helped a number of other breweries over the years, and this one went even farther,” added Lakefront’s Owner and President, Russ Klisch. “We’re proud to assist our Independent Craft Beer family and their communities.”
