Beer History Groups, Initiatives and Museums are Sharing Milestone Moments
As U.S. craft brewing makes history, the role beer has played in the nation is increasingly celebrated in museums and by beer history groups.
Lee Graves
Lee Graves is a lifelong Virginia resident with a bachelor's degree in English literature from the College of William & Mary. A journalist for roughly 30 years, he began writing about beer in 1996 with an award-winning weekly column in the Richmond Times-Dispatch. He's written three published books, including "Virginia Beer: A Guide from Colonial Days to Craft's Golden Age." He is married (his wife, Marggie, is his favorite editor) and has two daughters. Graves is president of Richmond Beeristoric, a nonprofit group that provides tours of historic beer sites and current craft breweries in the Richmond area.
