Founders Brewing Company, of Grand Rapids, Mich., is graciously gifting craft beer drinkers with three extra beers for the same suggested retail price of their 12-pack of All Day IPA cans. According to the Founders Blog, “This is the first time a major craft brewery has put out a 15-pack.”
They will begin distributing 15-packs of their award-winning session ale, All Day IPA this spring.
“We are able to offer 15-pack cans due to production efficiencies from packaging cost savings,” said Co-Founder Mike Stevens. “We’re excited to pass the savings on to our customers as a way of saying thank you for their reception of All Day IPA.”
Originally brewed as a limited release in February 2013, it quickly became a leading seller. It didn’t take long for All Day IPA to become part of the year-round line up for Founders. A year later, this canned beer is making craft beer history. And, with the extra few beers in the pack, this session ale truly can be enjoyed all day (with a few friends of course).
According to the Founders Blog, “All Day IPA is a 4.7 percent ABV session ale, brewed with Simcoe and Amarillo hops and measuring out at 42 IBUs. We set our minds to brewing this beer because we wanted an American IPA that worked with an active lifestyle. It has won numerous awards, including a silver medal in the session beer category at the GABF (Great American Beer Festival®) in 2010 under a working name and, most recently, a 2014 Good Food Award.”
The 15-packs are aptly labeled, a “Brewers Dozen.” For more information on this release, or Founders Brewing Company, visit the Founders Blog.
It’s one small sip for man, and one giant leap for craft beer.
