The Hidden Mother Brewery out of Washington State specializes in a type of beer you don’t often hear about: tree beers.
Owner and brewer Mike Detar says his fascination started when he read an article about a molasses porter brewed for soldiers during Colonial times. Since then, he says he’s “played with a lot of different trees.”
Brewing beer with trees is hard work, but Detar loves that he can churn out an innovative beer that beer lovers like to drink. Discover more about their methods in the video above.
