Lewes, DE – As the snow melts and the geese flee the protected shores of the Delaware Bay, Crooked Hammock Brewery is welcoming the warmer months with the release of their spring seasonal, Hand of Buddha Cream Ale, on March 23rd at 5pm. The highly anticipated second- year brew will be available on draft and in six-packs of 12-ounce cans.
Hand of Buddha is a traditional Cream Ale brewed with generous amounts of Buddha’s Hand fruit and Madagascar vanilla bean for a refreshing citrus flavor and a delightful vanilla undertone. Sitting at 5.6% Alcohol by Volume, this brew is perfect as warmer weather descends on the Mid-Atlantic shore.
“We’re really excited for this one to come out,” owner Rich Garrahan explains. “This beer sold out in ten days last year which is incredibly fast for us at the pub.”
“Buddha’s Hand fruit is truly unique and from the first time I saw it, I knew we had to make a beer with it,” said Jon Schorah, brewer at Crooked Hammock. “It blends perfectly with the reviving cream ale style and fits our brand perfectly. We are all about sessionable beers that are unique, full of flavor, and perfect for the beach.”
Crooked Hammock Brewery will host the release party for Hand of Buddha on Friday, March 23rd at 5pm. Kegs will be tapped and 6-packs and cases will be for sale at the 
door. Consumers are encouraged to arrive a bit early to ensure they get their hands on the cans, as tickets were not presold for this release. The first 100 people to order a pint of Hand of Buddha will receive a limited edition commemorative glass to take home. Hand of Buddha will be available on tap and in liquor stores throughout the state of Delaware in the weeks to follow.
Crooked Hammock Brewery, Restaurant and Backyard Beer Garden is open year-round 7 days a week from 11am with late night service until 1am. Happy Hour specials are offered Monday through Friday from 3-6pm.
