Davidsons’ Annual Beer Cellar Release Is Here

Highlands Ranch, Colorado – September 18, 2013 – Highly anticipated by the Front Range beer community, Davidsons Liquors’ annual beer cellar release is almost here. Pioneers in the art of aging bottles specifically for public offering, Davidsons has an extensive library of rare craft beers, aged from 1 to 5 years.

New for 2013, the cellar release will be held in 5 stages, on the 5 days leading up to The Great American Beer Festival. At each stage, Davidsons will release 150-200 bottles, all aged in our dark, temperature-controlled beer bunker, entombed under lock and key deep beneath the store, and guarded by fierce candy-crushing basement demons.

Also new this year, we will be controlling each stage more fairly, with limited access to the rarest of the rare beers. In the interest of fairness, we will be asking customers to form a line at our tasting bar at the start of each day’s release. Each customer can then choose two bottles out of the release. Following that, they are welcome to re-enter the back of the line if they wish to choose more items.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Release #1, Saturday, October 5th at 12:00 p.m. (to coincide with American Craft Beer Radio remote)
    • Avery, Boulevard, Left Hand
  • Release #2, Sunday, October 6th at 12:00 p.m.
    • Dogfish Head, Goose Island,
  • Release #3, Monday, October 7th at 6:00 p.m.
    • Odells, Great Divide, Sierra Nevada
  • Release #4, Tuesday, October 8th at 6:00 p.m.
    • Firestone Walker,The Bruery, Port, Lost Abbey, Boulder
  • Release #5, Wednesday, October 9th at 6:00 p.m.
    • Stone, Deschutes

In addition, other cellared beers will be available on a dry-shelf across from our bomber beer cooler doors.
