AURORA, CO — Meet the next two beers in Dry Dock’s Signature Series, the Double Vanilla Porter and the Double Coffee Porter. These beers will debut at The Canoe Room at North Dock.
The Double Vanilla Porter will be available on tap and in 22-ounce bombers at the Canoe Room on November 14, 15, and 16. The following weekend, Canoe Room at North Dock (located at 2801 Tower Road, Aurora, 80011) will release the Double Coffee Porter. These beers will make their way south to Dry Dock’s original brewery and tasting room at 15120 East Hampden Avenue next month, and will be available for sale in bombers at South Dock beginning on December 3.
“Our vanilla porter is probably the beer I drink at home the most so I really wanted to do a bigger version of it to age in whiskey barrels and have ready for the holidays,” says North Dock Head Brewer Brett Williams about the Signature Series Double Vanilla Porter. “I love how the vanilla, coconut and toffee from the barrel really mingle with the almost-smoky dark chocolate flavors in a big porter.”
Infusing with the Signature Series Double Vanilla Porter with vanilla was an obvious choice for Williams, who based the beer off of Dry Dock’s classic Vanilla Porter. Its new big sister aged in whiskey barrels for 10 months prior to this release.
The Signature Series Double Coffee Porter was brewed with cold brewed coffee from Denver roaster Coda Coffee. “I’ve been drinking coffee longer than I’ve been drinking beer and really love blending the two,” says Williams. “We used this Signature Series beer as an opportunity to team up with the crew at Coda Coffee, tour their facility and spend an afternoon trying their different roasts. It’s a perfect partnership because those guys care about their coffee, and how to work it into the beer, as much as we care about our beer, and how to properly work their coffee into it. I learned some things from Coda that will contribute to making this one of our best coffee beers ever.”

Double Vanilla Porter 9.3% ABV, 20 IBU
Dry Dock’s classic Vanilla Porter recipe, amplified. This beer has a dark chocolate essence with hints of dark fruit and subtle smoke. Big-bodied and creamy, Double Vanilla Porter is a strong ale that takes on whiskey and oak aromas from the barrels it ages in, and finishes surprisingly dry for a beer of its brawn.
food pairing suggestions: grilled ribeye, smoked brisket, lamb chops, Gouda, Havarti, vanilla ice cream, tiramisu.
Double Coffee Porter 9.3% ABV, 20 IBU
Cold brew coffee was added to Dry Dock’s naked porter, which was aged in whiskey barrels to create this complex beer. Double Coffee Porter smells of roasted coffee and oak staves, with hints of dark chocolate and nuttiness to taste. This beer’s creamy body comes from the addition of flaked barley.
food pairing suggestions: grilled steak, pot roast, mashed potatoes, chocolate mousse, vanilla ice cream.
