Odell Brewing Gets Friek-y Again
Brewery celebrates the return of beloved Lambic-style brew
Fort Collins, CO. – At the end of October, Odell Brewing will celebrate the release of its Kriek-Framboise hybrid Lambic-style ale. Using a solera process, Friek is brewed with Colorado cherries, aged and soured in oak barrels and then blended. Fresh raspberries are added to the brew just prior to the blend.
“This brew’s gorgeously tart and funky from start to end, with rich cherry and sparkling raspberry fruitiness throughout,” said Erica Reitz, editor of DRAFT Magazine. “We love how the interplay of fruit and wild character is impeccable and complex, but the finish is simple and clean.”
Friek will be available throughout the brewery’s eleven state distribution footprint this fall. Odell Brewing will celebrate the return of the beer with a Friek-y Friday party in the Tap Room on October 30. Guests can enjoy samples of the beer, live music, and prizes for the best costumes.
