On March 8, we celebrated International Women’s Day by kicking the boys out of the brewery and turning everything over to women.
The ladies from Outer Light Brewing Company, The Beer’d Brewing Company, Grey Sail Brewing of Rhode Island, Mikro Beer Bar, and Levine Distributing joined together to brew this year’s Pink Boots Big Brew, a gose with oranges and hibiscus flowers.
The Pink Boots Society is a nonprofit organization devoted to the empowerment of women in the beer industry through education and community. Each year, they put on a Big Boots Brew for professional brewers and a Little Boots Brew for home brewers. Of course, the brew days must be run by women only. The Pink Boots Society changes the beer style and recipe guidelines annually.
Outer Light Brewing will donate $1 of every pint of Pink Boots Gose to the Pink Boots Society. So come on out and support our brewer Sydney and other women in the beer industry by drinking this refreshingly tart, German-style, wheat beer.
