Sockeye Brewing Barrel Aged Brews

Share Post

Our brewers have been busy over the past couple years since the addition of our second brewery here at Sockeye Brewing.  When we added three of Idaho’s senior brewers to our brew crew in the summer of 2012, we were proud to support them doing what they do best.  Make exeptional craft beer.  They each have produced new styles of their choosing with our “Catch and Release” series of seasonal rotations, and also began an extensive cask conditioning and a barrel aging program that also caters to their creative abilities.  Not only do we all support and enjoy their talent, we especially enjoy reaping the tasty benefits of their fine craftsmanship.  We discovered quickly that it wasn’t just the customers in our own pubs who enjoyed these flavorful creations, the brews our team offers have been highly supported by retail partners of many craft beer hot spots and bottle shops in our distribution chain.  So when the team recently started listing the liquid treasure inside our barrels, we realized we had quite a collection of brews that had been aging along quietly in our brewery.  Beers ranging from Kolsch, Belgians, Barleywines and of course IPAs, have been slumbering and soaking up the fruits and woods of their master’s whims.  What better way to celebrate their creativity by kegging off these tasty treats and raising a glass among friends? The time has come to share the libations with our biggest fans.  Join us for a beer event like none other as we roll out the barrels with a couple of our biggest Boise craft beer supporting partners and friends. Mark your calendars, Boise beer fans!  These beers are very special and so are these two events!
