Sockeye Brewing will be tapping a special Pink Boots Society fundraising brew, UNITE RED ALE. Two of the crew, both Pink Boots members, brewed this beer in collaboration on International Women’s Day, along with 110 other breweries in 11 countries worldwide. International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day is an annual event on March 8th for brewsters of the world to unite together for charity. Sockeye’s batch has a sweet, smooth, and rich red malt backbone. It has been hopped with four varieties, including a brand new experimental #6 from Jackson Hop farms in Wilder, Idaho. The Ladies also chose to use a clarifying enzyme which also reduces the gluten to a minimal ppm, reduces haze, and gives this beer a clear and bright appearance. Proceeds from the beer will be donated to Pink Boots Society Scholarship Fund, and Boise’s Women and Children’s Alliance. This beer will also be available in Boise at Sockeye on Cole Road, and at Bier:Thirty, Bar Gernika and The Front Door. Cheers!
