Seasonal pop-up shop to offer everything but beer
September 26, 2013 – Kansas City – Boulevard Brewing Company today announced the return of its Dry Goods store to Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. Set to open on October 4th, the seasonal shop will sell a variety of Boulevard-themed merchandise ranging from apparel, glassware and custom signage, to eclectic wares from local artisans, to soap made with Boulevard beer. Located at 4740 Pennsylvania, just north of O’Dowd’s Little Dublin Irish Pub, the store will be open seven days a week, with extended December hours to accommodate holiday shoppers.
“The Dry Goods store is an opportunity to extend the Boulevard experience beyond the brewery,” said Amber Ayres, the company’s Director of Guest Relations. “Besides featuring lots of cool stuff for beer lovers, we’ll host complimentary beer samplings and meet-and-greets with brewery employees. We plan to add some fun to the holiday shopping season!”
In addition to well-known national brands like Patagonia, ‘47 Brand and Freaker USA, several local companies have been tapped to create unique gifts for Boulevard fans. The shop will offer posters and coasters from Hammerpress, soaps from Indigo Wild, t-shirts from Bandwagon and Charlie Hustle, hats from Baldwin, decorative wooden carriers and coasters from Maker Village KC, and leather goods from KC CO. Boulevard will maintain its online store (boulevard.com/store) and its year-round gift shop at the brewery, both of which will carry many of the same items.
