(Las Vegas) – Chef Rick Moonen, world renowned chef known for his sustainable fishing advocacy, collaborated with CraftHaus Brewery on a specialty beer, April 19th, 2015. Chef Moonen wanted an exclusive beer from CraftHaus Brewery to highlight his seafood driven menus at both his Las Vegas strip restaurants, RX Boiler Room and RM Seafood. The collaboration between Chef Moonen and CraftHaus Brewery was driven by a mutual passion for sustainability and creative culinary exploration.
Head brewer, Steve Brockman suggested a Belgian Wit style of beer, which is a perfect compliment to Chef Moonen’s seafood dishes. In keeping with the spirit of seasonality and creativity, Chef Moonen brought locally sourced flowers, herbs and botanicals from Desert Bloom Eco farms to infuse and elevate the beer. Playful collaboration between brewer and chef ultimately led to a spring inspired, effervescent beer.

Many of CraftHaus Brewery’s beers can be found on tap at both of Chef Moonen’s restaurants located in The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The culinary team there not only pairs CraftHaus Brewery’s beers with their dishes, they also infuse the beers into the menu offerings.
The specialty beer will be incorporated into a CraftHaus Brewery beer pairing dinner at Chef Moonen’s restaurants.
