Empire Brewing Co. Celebrates American Craft Beer Week

Syracuse, NY (May 5, 2014)—Empire Brewing Company announces its schedule for American Craft Beer Week, May 12-18, 2014, with daily specials and beer pairing events in our Syracuse brewpub, as well as offsite events throughout the Syracuse area. American Craft Beer Week is an annual celebration of American craft beer and breweries initiated by the Brewers Association, a Colorado-based national nonprofit which promotes and protects America’s craft brewers.

  • Throughout the week of Monday, May 12 through Friday, May 16, Empire will offer “Beer & A Bite” during Happy Hour (3:30pm-6:30pm) which includes a pint and a small plate of food for only $8, as well as Happy Hour pricing all day on our Beer of the Day, with pints for $4.
  • On Monday, May 12 through Thursday, May 15, Empire will offer a special beer pairing menu created by Executive Chef Matthew Riddett, featuring three courses paired with three beers for $30.
  • On Saturday, May 17 at 5pm, Empire’s brewmaster Tim Butler will serve up a special cask ale brewed just for American Craft Beer Week.
  • On Sunday, May 18, from 6pm-9pm, Empire will host a special Farm-to-Table Beer Pairing Event where patrons can sample a dozen foods prepared from local farms and a dozen Empire beers. A limited number of tickets will be sold for $30 in advance.
  • Empire will also host several meet-and-greet events in the Syracuse area throughout the week, including a specialty cask release at J. Ryan’s Pub on Tuesday, May 13 at 6pm. Other events include tastings at Collegetown Bagels in Ithaca at 4pm and Kitty Hoyne’s in Syracuse at 7pm on on Wednesday, May 14, at Faegan’s Cafe & Pub in Syracuse on Thursday, May 15 at 7pm, and at Al’s Wine & Whiskey in Syracuse on Sunday, May 18 at 10pm.
