(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – Flat 12 Bierwerks, an Indianapolis based craft brewery, announces its lease agreement and intent to establish a location on the riverfront in downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana. The location, at 130 W Riverside Dr., will feature a taproom spotlighting Flat 12 brewery creations.
“We’re excited to embark upon this adventure. Customers come to our Indianapolis brewery taproom and appreciate the interaction with our brewers, the staff and one another. They enjoy the opportunity to try unique Flat 12 beers in a relaxed atmosphere where the focus is on a quality experience. We’re looking forward to bringing an element of that here to Jeffersonville,” said Sean O’Connor, Co-Founder/CEO.
Flat 12 currently distributes beer in the state of Indiana, central Illinois, east-central Tennessee and, more recently, Louisville. This marks the first satellite location for the brewery.
Co-Founder/Brewer Rob Caputo said, “We like the location – it brings Flat 12 to southern Indiana in a new and exciting way. It also brings us closer to customers in Kentucky and Tennessee. We hope it will strengthen those relationships and that we will become part of the fabric of Jeffersonville and the entire riverfront community.”
Founded in 2010, Flat 12 Bierwerks is a production craft brewery based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Co-Founder and Head Brewer, Rob Caputo blends craft with technical expertise to produce an outstanding line-up of beers. The name Flat 12 is derived from the flathead 12-cylinder engine, a powerful beast of an engine, emblematic of Indianapolis’ turn of the century rise as an automotive manufacturing and motorsports capital. The “Bierwerks” Germanic spelling offers a nod to the strong German cultural influence, felt in and around the historic Holy Cross neighborhood Flat12 calls home.
