LONGMONT, CO — Großen (pronounced Grossen) Bart translates to “Big Beard”, which is exactly what owners Shad Chancey and Taylor Wise plan on celebrating at the brewery’s inaugural Longmont Mane Festival, set to take place at the brewery’s tap room located in Longmont, Colorado.
The local brewery, known for their facial hair theme, will celebrate beers, beards, and community at their first large event hosted at the tap room, which will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 18th.
“We’re really looking forward to hosting our first big event at the brewery,” says Shad Chancey, co-owner of Großen Bart. “We really wanted to throw an event that would celebrate all of the glorious beards and stashes of Colorado along with all of the state’s awesome craft beer drinkers. As a facial-hair themed brewery, we think it’s important to unite the colonies of whiskers!”
The bearded and mustached are invited to participate in the Beard & Mustache Contest featuring categories such as “The Business Beard”, “The Groomed Beard”, “The Full Beard Natural”, “The Styled Mustache”, “The Natural Mustache”, “The Goatee”, and “Sideburns & Chops.” The Longmont Mane Festival will also include the “Whiskerella” category for women and the “Freestyle” category for the particularly creative and outlandish facial hair.
