Bringing you another weekend of incredible beer and music – The Door County Brewing Concert Series is very excited to announce our live performances of the Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank, this Friday and Saturday at 7pm at the brewery.

Reigning from Minnesota, brothers Teague and Ian Thomas Alexy have been writing and playing incredible music together for over seven years. Their first album Sing was released in 2007 followed by The Travelling Show, recorded in Brooklyn and released in 2009.

One of their most inspired albums yet, recorded over 40 days in the deep woods of Minnesota; the two brothers are touring the country currently promoting their newest album, Number One Contender. A soulful journey of melodies, their newest album captures the spirit of the Minnesota folk scene and raises the bar.

Deeply influenced by Minnesota native Bob Dylan, The Star Tribune called their newest album, Number One Contender, easily one of the best Minnesota-made albums of the year. “They seemed to egg each other on the way the Band prodded Bob, with loose, lively song rave-ups and masterful guitar work.”

More than just a love for Lake Michigan, “Folks have been telling us to come to Door County for years,” said Teague Alexy of Hobo Nephews. “Since we are trying to call ourselves American songwriters we look forward to bringing our songs, our guitars, stomp boards, harmonicas to Door County and leaving with a new story or idea to take with us on the road. We’re willing to bet Door County has never heard anything like Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank.”

With an Americana sound, combining folk, bluegrass, roots-rock and more – their introspective lyrics and range of instruments make for an excellent musical experience. Don’t miss this incredible chance to see Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank live for free, this Friday and Saturday, August 22 & 23 at Door County Brewing Company.
