There are few events like the Ice Cold Beer Festival in Minocqua, WI.
The local subsidiary of Ministry Home Care, Dr. Kate’s Hospice, warmly accepts a donation of Five Thousand dollars from the Wisconsin Brewers Guild from event proceeds. The donation is the result of the continuing collaborative effort of the founders of the Ice Cold Beer Festival, the gracious sponsors and the members of the Guild. This marks the 16th year of this unique event, with Dr. Kate’s Hospice being the beneficiary of over $50,000.00 in total donations.
To accommodate the ever increasing throngs of craft beer enthusiasts, this year’s event was distinctively hosted under an inspiring festival tent. Even with the challenges of several inches of fresh snow and single digit temperatures, the heated tent performed perfectly and the beautiful scenes of a northern Wisconsin winter provided the picturesque backdrop for the huge crowd. Endless chili samples, exceptional live music, and of course, the finest in Wisconsin craft beer showcased the evening’s festivities.
The Wisconsin Brewers Guild would like to extend our thanks and sincere appreciation to our hosts, the City of Minocqua and the fabulous crew from the Minocqua Brewing Company. We can’t leave without saying “Cheers” to Dennis Kohl, Trig’s Cellar 70 Beverage Manager, the special crew he is able to assemble and all the hard working volunteers that help erect that terrific tent.
