SANTEE, CALIF – Manzanita Brewing would like to introduce beer fans and big sippers to the brewery’s new Imperial Red ale: Danger Ranger. This luscious interpretation of the classic Imperial Red is already available in the brewery’s Prospect Avenue tasting room (big new B2) on tap and in bottles. Danger Ranger is the first of Manzanita’s new tasting room-only beers.
Danger Ranger Imperial Red pairs the tangy citrus flair of Chinook, Centennial and Citra hops with the honey-roasted flavor of chicory root. It is heavily late-hopped in the kettle and fermenter, which promotes a well-mannered hoppiness without a big hop bite. Sip some Danger Ranger and you’re met with a light, early sweetness that closes with the roasted charm that’s expected of a fine Imperial Red ale. Manz fans and beer enthusiasts will also recognize the crisp, light finish that’s become a hallmark of Manzanita’s craft ales. The color is a dusky caramel red, but once you’ve gotten a taste, you’ll forget how pretty it is – Danger Ranger is a fine sip.
The Manzanita Brewing tasting room is open Wednesday through Sunday, and growlers can be filled during business hours all week long. If you’re a published contributor to the beer, business, dining or adventure media and would like to try any of the brewery’s craft ales for yourself, please reach out or drop by for a tour of the brewery, as well Manzanita’s new distillery next door.
