SANDPOINT, IDAHO- The award winning MickDuff’s Brewing Company from Sandpoint, Idaho recently signed an exclusive agreement with the Odom Corporation to begin distribution to north Idaho establishments. After 7 years in operation, distribution was the logical step for this growing pub. Odom’s portfolio and support of craft beer made the partnership a natural fit.
“We’re excited about distribution and beginning our relationship with Odom Corp,” explained Head Brewer, Mickey Mahoney. “Their support of our industry is very evident from their great catalog of craft beer.’”
Through the Odom Corp, beer can now be ordered and found north to Bonners Ferry and south to Coeur d’Alene, Moscow and Lewiston. MickDuff’s plans to enter the eastern Washington market before the third quarter of 2014.
The beer distribution line up will start slow for MickDuff’s. The first beers they’re putting out to the regional market include their Lake Paddler Pale Ale and NOHO. Lake Paddler Pale Ale is an American Pale Ale dry hopped with cascade hops to give it a floral aroma. It is mildly hoppy and bitter and named after the mythical Lake Pend Oreille monster. NOHO is a really hoppy American India Pale Ale, dry hopped to really enhance the aroma of this beer. It is named after North Idaho by using the first letters of north and last two letters of Idaho.
MickDuff’s Brewing Co. went through their first growth expansion in June of 2013. They have moved their 7 BBL brewery out of their pub, located on historic First Ave in Sandpoint, and into a 4,000 sq. foot space that will allow them to hit the 1,000 BBLs brewed mark for the year of 2014. The Pub features pub food with flare, 11 beer taps and a 2 BBL pilot brewery.
