Raquette River Brewing is happy to announce that it will be expanding its current production from a 4 bbl system to a 10 bbl system, complete with 10 and 20 bbl fermentation vessels. We are also building a 32 ft x 96 ft pavilion in order to accommodate an expanded summer music series and public and private events. We hope to have our expansion completed by June of 2017.
Raquette River Brewing is an independently owned craft brewery located at the heart of the Adirondacks in beautiful Tupper Lake, NY. We are two friends operating a small town business with the goal of bringing people together to enjoy fine flavors and good company. All of our beer is made on premises and distributed locally with the help of a handful of creative and dedicated employees. We are working to welcome expanded opportunities at our small but growing site in the village to include food and craft purveyors as well as musicians and other performance artists.
Joe Hockey and Mark Jessie grew up and raised their own families in the village of Tupper Lake while working for the State of New York. As retirement neared and their friendship grew Mark and Joe started brewing beer together, yes, in Mark’s garage. In 2013 they committed to and started building the business with electrician/plumber and now Head Brewer, Jack Lewis. Over the following 3 years the men worked to transform a small neglected set of trailers and outbuildings on small side street into a vibrant and thriving gathering place for visitors and citizens of the area. The beer has won awards and attracts consistently positive attention over a wide region.
It is our passion to make and serve excellent beer. We are constantly experimenting with what this means by widening our own taste experiences, listening to our patrons, talking with one another and just messing around. We are very impressed by the results so far and our momentum and curiosity as to where it can go next is what drives us. We thank so many enthusiastic customers for helping us to realize this dream and keep us looking to the future.
