Longmont, Colo. – Wibby Brewing will release Sir Citra-ness on Thursday, Feb. 21, marking the first installment in a new series aimed at introducing unique and exciting types of India pale lagers to craft beer lovers across the Front Range.
Sir Citra-ness, a yellow, medium-bodied, hoppy lager, is the first release in Wibby Brewing’s RIPL (Rotating IPL) Series. It’s also the first limited can release from the all-lager brewery in downtown Longmont. Only twelve cases of this lager—which clocks in at 7 % ABV and 55 IBU—will be available for purchase at the Wibby Brewing taproom at 209 Emery St. A similarly small allotment will be distributed to certain restaurant, bar, and liquor store partners across Wibby Brewing’s distribution footprint along Colorado’s Front Range. Find out where here. Ted Risk, co-founder and director of sales and marketing, said the brewing company is “incredibly excited” for this special release. “This series seems like a perfect way to celebrate the ever-evolving, deeply appreciative, craft beer culture throughout Colorado, which is widely regarded as the State of Craft Beer,” Risk said.
Sir Citra-ness was brewed with copious amounts of Citra, Mandarina Bavaria, and Huell Melon hops. It has a super pungent hop aroma. It will also be available on draft in the taproom.
With the RIPL Series, Wibby Brewing intends to feature the diversity, creativity, and versatility of India pale lagers. Every couple of months, the brewery will release a new, unique IPL in limited quantities.
Founded in September 2015, Wibby Brewing is an all-lager brewery that distributes its classic German-style lagers with an American twist throughout the foothills of Colorado. The taproom is open Monday through Thursday 11:30 am to 9:30 pm; Friday and Saturday 11 am to midnight; and Sunday 11 am to 9:30 pm.
