Resurgence Brewing Company releases new can line

Resurgence Brewing Company will release its new line of 16-ounce cans starting with Irish Breakfast Ale on February 18. The cans will be sold in packs of four for $10 at the taproom, as well as in local retailers wherever RBC beer is sold.

The new packaging features a sleek, modern design that showcases RBC’s signature Buffalo head as a nod to the ongoing Resurgence of the brewing industry in Western New York, and will be filled and distributed from the brewery’s Niagara Street taproom. Future styles will include Cosmic Truth session ale, Lime Berliner Weisse, Citra Mosaic IPA, and Vanilla Cappuccino Pumpkin Ale.

“Our new cans give our customers another way to experience great beer wherever they like to enjoy a nice, cold beverage,” owner Jeff Ware said, of the release. “Cans are the best packaging to retain flavor and carbonation for beer, to keep it fresh and delicious for as long as possible. Of course,” he added. “We don’t expect these to last long enough to find out how long that might be!”

The cans will be released in limited quantities both at the brewery and in the market, one style at a time. Release dates will coordinate roughly with holidays and events, starting with Irish Breakfast Ale’s focus on being on the shelves in time for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Resurgence works with Try-It Distributing and Sanzo Beverage Company Inc. to distribute its beer throughout the greater Western New York area. The new cans will join RBC IPA and Blood Orange Saison on the shelves of local retailers, bars, and restaurants, and will complement seasonal 22-ounce bottle releases as well.
