Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company to Host Second Annual Pro-Am & FigtoberFest
A special fundraiser to benefit the Santa Barbara County Firefighters Benevolent Foundation
Buellton, CA –Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company is excited to announce the Second Annual Pro-Am & FigtoberFest event to be held at River View Park in Buellton. This festival will take place on Saturday, October 5th, 2013 from 11am-6pm. Tickets will be available online, at both Figueroa Mountain Brewing taproom locations and at Valley Brewers in Solvang. General Admission is $40 and includes entry, a celebratory stein, your first beer, a food ticket, and music. Festival goers will have the opportunity to taste beers from over ten breweries and wines from a few selected local wineries. Food trucks will be onsite along with festive music and a variety of vendors to entertain the crowd during the fundraiser. All proceeds from FigtoberFest will benefit the Santa Barbara County Firefighters Benevolent Foundation, which operates to help the families of firefighters who are injured or fall in the line of duty.

Since it’s inception, Figueroa has always sought to give back to the community. This year’s event will mean a great deal to the foundation and make a huge difference in the lives of the families of injured and fallen firefighters,” said Ken Murray, Santa Barbara County Firefighters Benevolent Foundation President.

FigtoberFest will also be host to the second annual Pro-Am Competition, Co-sponsored by Valley Brewers of Solvang and Figueroa Mountain Brewing. “This Pro-Am is one of only a few in the state of California and considered a pinnacle event for Home Brewers,” explained Sandy Kelly co-owner of Valley Brewers. Best of Show beers will be judged at FigtoberFest and the winner will be announced. The Grand Prize winner will have the opportunity to help brew the winning recipe at Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company in Buellton and have it served in the Taproom, second and third place will also win prizes. Last year’s Pro-Am winning beer will be released at the event. Contestants interested in being part of the action are encouraged to contact Valley Brewers for entry forms and more information.
