Fleur De Lis Brew Works (Seneca Falls, NY) hosts the second annual First Responders Festival Saturday, September 22 from 1-4 pm. The afternoon brings together a variety of departments on the brewery grounds. Families are encouraged to meet the volunteers and staff and learn about the education and training involved in joining the first responders as a career. Children can explore apparatus up close. Families together can learn what services are available before an emergency arises.
The idea for the day stemmed from event organizer and brewery partner, Jennifer Partee. She regularly interacts with first responders and believes the public doesn’t recognize the effort, training and responsibility that go into a day’s work to serve the community. “These are the everyday heroes who have your back in a crisis. Spend a few minutes of your Saturday afternoon to show your appreciation for these hard working men and women.”

- Fayette Fire
- North Seneca Ambulance
- South Seneca Ambulance
- Mercy Flight Central
- Seneca County Sheriff
- New York State Troop E
Each department will bring something unique to the festival. Mercy Flight will bring the on-duty helicopter, weather permitting, Troop E will have a K-9 and Fayette Fire will demonstrate extrication.
Community groups and service organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts are also welcome to join to fulfill requirements to earn a badge or other merit.
The brewery supports participating organizations by hosting the festival and by donating gratuities collected from sales during the event.
