Denver, CO – The annual Great American Beer Festival is right around the corner, which creates cause for special beer events and parties, but none quite like this new brewery bike event put on by the likes of 6 breweries and Alamo Drafthouse & Cinema. On Saturday September 15th, participants can bike an 11-mile guided loop that starts and finishes at the Alamo at Sloans Lake, ending with a GABF Kickoff Party & tap takeover. The breweries involved are WestFax, Joyride, Hogshead, Oasis, Strange, and Seedstock. The cost is $25 per person; guests will receive an 8oz taster glass, which provides them a pour at each brewery, a chance to win one of six keg giveaways from the involved breweries, as well as happy hour pricing at Alamo’s bar & pub, BarFly, all evening long with live music starting at 7PM.
Tickets can be purchased in advance on Alamo’s website, or the day-of at the cinema for $30. The event starts at 11AM on 9/15 for registration with a bike departure time of noon. Guests are encouraged to wear helmets and make sure their bicycle is in safe working condition with the appropriate reflectors. Guests are not required to drink beer at each brewery, end should not push their personal limits. If at any point anyone feels unsafe or ill-equipped to ride, a staff member will help make safe travel arrangements for them. This event will also be an opportunity for attendees to try GABF beers a week prior to the festival at the kick-off party (once finishing the bike loop).
