Tallahassee Brewery hosts family-friendly all-day event Saturday, March 25
GrassLands Brewing Company, a Tallahassee, FL brewery located in the revitalized Gaines Street corridor, is throwing an all-day festival in celebration of its 2nd anniversary. Originally opened in March, 2015, GrassLands is inviting Tallahassee families and friends to join in the fun at their Garages on Gaines location (603 West Gaines Street) from 12 noon to 12 midnight Saturday March 25th.
Starting at noon, GrassLands will be offering at least 18 different beers throughout the day, including brand new beer releases and special treatments, as well as merchandise made specifically for the occasion. Complimenting the beers, the Garages on Gaines front lot will play host to numerous activities and events, including live performances from local bands Tuesday Supper Club, Forrest Lee and the Brown Goose, as well as live demonstrations of glass blowing, blacksmithing, brewery tours and a brewing session with head brewer Thomas Crawford. Local food vendors MAYhem Sweets & Treats and St. Evers Sausage House will be onsite as well.
GrassLands is currently in the final stages of installing its state-of-the-art 15-barrel brewing system (465 gallons per batch) and while the brewery has begun distribution on a small scale, it expects to begin its broader launch to the North Florida marketplace by Summer 2017. GrassLands’ brewers have been brewing on a pilot-sized 2.5-barrel (77.5 gallons per batch) system.
