On Monday, May 8th nearly 600 beer lovers joined together to highlight women leaders in the craft beer industry while raising funds and awareness for Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands at Pike Brewing Company’s Women In Beer. Six years strong, Women In Beer is believed to be the largest single day event for Seattle Beer Week and was expanded this year due to demand and a desire to help Planned Parenthood more than ever.
Attendees at the sold-out event were treated to sips and bites from women-led breweries, restaurants, distilleries, bakeries and more. These companies donate their delicious wares to the event and Pike Brewing Company is grateful to have their help. The full list of participating companies is below.
Guests also enjoyed a sampling of Pike Brewing Company beers, including Morning After Pale Ale, which is brewed for Women In Beer by the women of Pike. This refreshing and juicy pale ale is available for a limited time on draft at The Pike Pub and select local bars and restaurants.
Local soul & blues singer Grace Love performed in the brewery alongside her guitarist, setting a fun and powerful tone for the evening.
