Rooster Fish Brewing is Honored to be designated the “Official Brewery of the Grand Prix Festival”, of Watkins Glen. We celebrate another historical year of racing in Watkins Glen, the home of America Road racing! This year featuring the great MG sports car and the MG vintage racers. A historical milestone event for the MG.
We welcome you to our town that we call home, where we work, play and enjoy the beauty and bounty of nature. Doug Thayer is a huge enthusiast of history, road racing, vintage and exotic cars. Doug extends a warm welcome, to all the racers and fans to our great community.
Welcome, to Rooster Fish Brewing. It all began as an experiment by Brewmaster, Doug Thayer, in 2004. He began making his first batch of the Original Nut Brown in our scratch bakery where we make all our breads and desserts at the Wildflower Cafe’. (established 25 yrs. ago)
Now, Rooster Fish Brewing is THE FIRST Farm Brewery in New York State! Our Ales are one of the most recognizable brands in the Finger Lakes Region. Our award winning brews can be found all across New York State and other states across the country in the very near future. In 2013, Rooster Fish Brewing opened it’s NEW larger updated facility in the Original Watkins Glen Firehouse. (which also houses great food from our own Nickels Pit BBQ). What’s better then bbq and beer! Although, we still brew with the same ideals from our humble beginnings, every beer is crafted by hand in small batches. We use the finest and best quality organic ingredients, mostly from the New York State Farmers. Doug Thayer is hands on quality control, imagination and creativity and makes sure his Fine Craft Ales meets his superior expectation. We are excited and pretty darn proud to offer our hand-crafted Farm Brewery Ales to every person who knows a great BEER, or to those having their first. A BIG Thanks to Doug, as it all began here at Wildflower Cafe’, downtown Watkins Glen, New York.
Enjoy a craft brew created by Brewmaster, Doug Thayer, at Rooster Fish Brewing and his other three sister establishment’s on Franklin Street, downtown Watkins Glen. Doug is the CEO and President of all four of his unique establishments.
Being the “Official Brewery of the Grand Prix Festival”, Doug will be brewing up some of his great brews for your enjoyment and souvenirs for this historical event.
Come by and enjoy great food, drinks with live local musicians, while drivers talk with other Tour drivers and fans. What better place to relax other then the “Official Brewery of the Grand Prix Festival”, of Watkins Glen! The festival is September 5th through 7th, see you there!
