NC Beer Month celebrations will culminate with the NC Tap Takeover, Thursday April 28th at all Thirsty Monk locations, featuring Nearly 100 Different NC Beers.
ASHEVILLE, NC – April is NC Beer Month and the Thirsty Monk, a leader in Asheville’s beer scene and increasingly recognized regional and national beer destination, is excited to bring celebrations to Western North Carolina with a full schedule of events occurring at various Monk locations, and culminating with the NC Tap Takeover at all locations.
With more breweries than any other Southern state, North Carolina’s ‘Beer Renaissance’ is in full swing, with Asheville among those leading the way in creating not only a thriving industry, but a community-wide culture and leading destination for beer lovers. In celebration of NC Beer Month, Thirsty Monk will not only feature breweries based in Western North Carolina, but also travel across the Foothills, Piedmont and Eastern Carolina to feature a variety of styles from our state-wide neighbors. Scheduled events include NC Brews & BBQ at the Biltmore Park Monk, NC Mystery Tap at the Woodfin Monk in Reynolds Village, NC Belgians and Small Plates Pairing at the Downtown Monk and, of course, the NC Tap Takeover at all Monk locations.
“North Carolina has made its mark as a destination for craft beer lovers, both nation-wide and internationally, and we want to highlight the many breweries who work hard to brew the fantastic beers that keep us on the map.” says Monk Vice President, Chall Gray. “We’re really excited to kick off this annual month-long celebration of North Carolina beer with events that tie in our favorite breweries, styles and culinary pairings.”
