Societe Brewing Company, San Diego, California • March 24, 2014 – On May 9 and 10, Societe Brewing Company will be one of 76 small and independent craft breweries represented at SAVOR: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience. Presented by the Brewers Association and in its seventh year, SAVOR is the premier beer and food pairing event in the U.S. This event not only showcases some of the best that the American craft beer scene has to offer, but it affords craft brewers from across the United States the opportunity to gather together in the Nation’s Capital to promote and celebrate all the incredible successes that craft beer has seen in this county.
SAVOR returns to the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. following its New York City debut in 2013. As in past years, each brewery will pour two of its awesome craft beers, accompanied by a reception-style sampling of sweet and savory small plates designed by Brewers Association culinary consultant Adam Dulye, chef and owner of The Monk’s Kettle and The Abbot’s Cellar in San Francisco. Chef Adam is truly a culinary genius, and the beer dinner events that he hosts at The Monk’s Kettle have garnered the reputation in San Francisco as being simply “life changing” meals.
“We are incredibly humbled and thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in SAVOR this year in Washington, D.C.,” said Mike Sardina, Assistant Executive Office and Chief Legal Officer of Societe Brewing Company. “Not only do we get the chance to share our San Diego craft beer and our story with some awesome folks on the East Coast, but we get to work together again with Chef Adam Dulye. We worked with Chef Adam for a beer dinner during San Francisco Beer Week this year, and he is absolutely killing it when it comes to pairing food with beer. We cannot wait until May.”
“SAVOR provides a world-class and unparalleled atmosphere where small and independent craft brewers showcase their flavorful beers alongside a menu of strategic pairings,” said Julia Herz, craft beer program director at the Brewers Association. “Attendees also have the unique opportunity of being personally served by the visionaries behind the brands.”
During SAVOR, Societe Brewing Company will be pouring The Harlot, a Belgian Extra, and The Apprentice, an American IPA, paired with Brussels Sprout Cups with Miso, Green Apple, and Cashew, and a Fava Bean, English Pea, and Porcini Crostini. Minds will be blown, and socks will be rocked.
Visit the SAVOR website for more information on the event, including full menu and brewery list. Tickets to SAVOR are available via Ticketmaster.
